concept design issues The objective for this edition was to design the text to be more accessible and visually appealing with a goal of setting it apart from its cluster of competitors. The publisher’s hope was that this new edition would be the clear, easy-to-use, comprehensive reference of choice for students.

concept design issues This interior design draws its inspiration from magazine layout and design. The concept was to create a textbook that didn’t look like a textbook. The publisher wanted this book to have the “current” sensibility of a magazine.

project objectives Cover redesign for higher education textbook.

concept design issues The goal was to redesign the cover to emphasize its Canadian content and to use typography and imagery to accurately reflect the university level of the text. Flowing water in a Canadian setting represents the ever-changing condition of the accounting practice.
